First Tribal Council
Sep 3rd
First Tribal Council of Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown eliminated NO ONE.
After Princess Snell quit and the fact that there is still one tribe in the game make it a bit predictable that the first tribal council will be a non-elimination one. I was actually hoping that I thought wrong but then again predictability is really running now and Survivor Philippines must do something about that. Plus, I don’t think castaways thought they will be eliminating someone because there were no talk, no solid alliance formed, no single name floated before they stepped into the tribal council or at least that’s what the editing showed the viewers. Survivor’s Princess in Distress
Sep 2nd
Survivor is no joke. The mantra Outwit Outplay Outlast should’ve been a warning for Princess Snell that Survivor despite a Celebrity edition this season is still a tough competition. However, Survivor is not just a physical game – it is also mind-game and most especially social game where a person with strongest and effective strategy lasts til the end.
Oh well, we still cannot blame Princess for backing out in the game it’s just that she could’ve prepared herself more. It would’ve been better if she expected worst to set her mind in the game. But, it’s over for Princess, 1 night in the island was all that she can bear.
So is this the thing she’s going to explode? Rumors now is confirmed. Princess Snell indeed backed out in the game after just a day.
Who’s your daddy now?
More about the game, the castaways decided to divide the group into three with each having their own task. One group will take care of food and Moi did a great job in finding crabs with help from Elma Muros. Karen delos Reyes and Michelle Madrigal found a plant which they thought onions and told other castaways about this. Doc Ferdz tasted it and said it was “bland” so it could be “singkamas” to which Ian Batherson and Ervic Vijandre agreed. Other castaways rebuilt the shelter to avoid what happened in their first night in the campsite where they all got wet in the rain. Male castaways like Ahron, Akihiro and others tried to climb the coconut tree to get the leaves but they failed so Super Jon Hall came to the rescue and climbed the tree with no sweat. Ian got amazed and confessed that if he were to ask who’s deserving to be the leader it would be Jon Hall. But, who is the real leader? Jon Hall noticed that Buhawi is stepping up to act as one may be because of the scroll he won in the challenge but there’s Doc Ferdz as well who since the beginning tries to act as the leader. As a Survivor fan that he is Jon Hall decided to pass in claiming the “leader” title. There’s one good observation from Pretty Trizsa though, he said “pag kukuha ng kahoy si Buhawi kukuha ng troso si Doc Ferdz tapos dapat puno ang kay Jon Hall”. Well, seems like Jon Hall needs to suppress his “feelings” some more.
Team Aubrey vs Team Jon
Audience is now sensing some Aubrey vs Jon clash-up. Not literally a fight but the two are the most dangerous players in the island, at least the more obvious and upfront. So, Jon is already explaining to the other male castaways their options that if the group will be divided into girls and guys alliance Pretty Trizsa will be more or less siding with the girls so theyguys are short in number. But other guys know that Jon is having an alliance with Michelle so they still can’t trust him this time. On the other side, Aubrey is also starting to talk to the girls about strategies and alliances. She explained to Pretty Trizsa that they have to get rid of the weaklings first.
Now, questions are Will Jon and Aubrey be on the same tribe?
Are they going to clash earlier in the game?
Or will they have a final face-off?
Will it be that way?
Or we will see a Jon and Aubrey alliance?
These two castaways will surely spice-up the game.
Tomorrow will be the First Tribal Council of Richard Gutierrez for Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown. Who will be the first castaway (besides Princess) who will be voted off of the island? Let us all find out tomorrow on Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown.
4-Element Challenge
Sep 1st
Earth, Water, Fire and Wind. Four elements that were used for the First challenge in Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown. Richard Gutierrez explained to the castaways the rule:
Castaways will run their way up the wall and jump off the “trampoline” ropes until they are able to go down. Then they will find hoopla rings in the muddy water and when they got three rings they can move on across the smoldering coal and try their luck to shoot the hoopla rings to designated poles. First two castaways to complete the challenge will win special scrolls.
Jon Hall was the first to climb and get down the wall followed by More >
Longest night for Celebrity Castaways
Aug 31st
Survivor Celebrity Showdown castaways are still in one group sharing the same shelter, fire, and camp site. Day 1 they immediately felt the hardship in terms of living condition they will be experiencing in the island for 36 days to get a chance in winning the title First Celebrity Sole Survivor.
Foods were lacking, there were coconut trees which Akihiro tried to climb but they immediately realized there were no coconut. They tried catch fish but it was low tide that time so they settled for oysters for food Mico Aytano commented “if given a choice I wouldn’t eat it pero no choice eh so I had to eat it but when I ate it- it actually felt really delicious. Ganun pala yung feeling pag wala kang makain” while Solenn Heussaff left with no choice but to starve herself the whole night because she’s allergic to oysters.
The Pilot Episode:Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown
Aug 30th
Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown premiered tonight August 30. We saw the 18 castaways, we had glimpse of who’s who and characters they will be portraying but everything was just a teaser..appetizer for the audience. But, indeed it was a great appetizer.
The show started with a red carpet premiere with Pia Guaino interviewing the castaways with Solenn saying she wants to prove people that she’s not just a socialite like what others think of her. Akihiro on the other hand wants to experience the life in the island. Well everyone got distracted when locales of Thailand came up to each castaway and brought them in assigned service trucks. Karen delos Reyes as expected started her “taray queen” image commenting More >
Survivor Philippines Male Castaways
Aug 30th
Male castaways of Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown will not be left behind with a very wide variety of personalities from rock star to matinee idol to a cager, doctor, to hunk model up to member of the third sex. Surely they will offer so much to the viewers that will make the game even more intense and more exciting. So here are the Male Castaways of this season Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown before we see them in action tonight on the pilot episode.
1. Buhawi Meneses
Buhawi is a member of Parokya ni Edgar. He is a self-confessed fan of Survivor and he in fact auditioned for the first season of the reality show. Will this mean he knows how to play the game so well based on the things he observed while watching seasons of Survivor both foreign and local? Will this make him rock all the way until he became the First Celebrity Sole Survivor? We will get to know more Buwi starting this Monday.
2. Doc Ferdz Recio
He is a host of the environmental show Born to be Wild alongside Survivor first season’s castaway Kiko. Did Doc Ferdz got a lot of advise from Kiko? And will the nature of his work help him a lot to survive the harsh environment? We’ll see if he can go further than what Kiko achieved.
3. Ervic Vijandre
Close friend of First Sole Survivor of Survivor Philippines – JC Tiuseco. In fact, they basically have the same background and aura, cager, shy-looking, quiet type of guy. Will he use the same tactics as JC before- portrayed an underdog image at the beginning then emerged as the strongest player at the end? Or will he do the opposite and attack from the very beginning. He can be compared to a silent river and for sure he got much more to offer. Plus, why is he crying in the teaser, very intriguing really. Ervic is one castaway we shall watch out for. More >

3. Karen delos Reyes
Tagged as “Taray Queen” of Survivor, will this work on her advantage or will this be a cause of her downfall? Question now is did she portray this role earlier or later part of the game? Timing is very important in the game. We’ll see if the Taray Queen can finish all the way and be the ultimate survivor.
