Survivor Redemption Island is one really exciting season. I mean you see Boston Rob calling all the shots from Day 1 but as a Survivor fan and viewer you wait for that moment that other castaways will finally realize that Rob can’t bring them all to the top. Looks like the second to the last episode is the start of it! Woohoo!
The Ometepe tribe composing of Rob, Grant, Andrea, Ashley, Natalie and Philip managed to stick together to get rid of every Zapatera member but they all know that they can’t finish Survivor with still six people left. It was Andrea who got blindsided first. She thought she’s safe with Rob and the rest but nah-ah just like what they did to Matty, Andrea was voted off.
However, Andrea is a tough girl and she proved that she is really a tough competitor by winning the challenge in the Redemption Island alongside Matt and Mike ousting Ralph. Read the rest of this entry »
Russell Hantz can be considered as one of the most notorious villains in Survivor. However, we can also say that he played the game aggressively and with much intellect. Why? He never had the number since he first joined Survivor yet he was able to reach the end in those back to back seasons. Well, the wheel is definitely turning and in his third try in getting the most coveted title of Sole Survivor, Russell Hantz did not just lose but his ass was kicked so hard.
His tribe Zapatera sell out the Immunity challenge just to get rid of Russell Hantz. He knows this clearly but he can’t do anything since no matter how hard he tried he cannot find the freaking Immunity Idol. He will never find it because Ralph already possessed it. With this, we can really say that there is no deja vu this time around. So with only two strong allies, Russell Hantz was voted off of Survivor Redemption Island and as Jeff Probst said, this is the first time a tribe has voted out Russell Hantz.
However, Russell did have a chance to get back in the game and revenge and redeem himself but when he reached the Redemption Island, it was Matt who is waiting for him for the duel. Again, he was fooled by his tribemates. Of course, this made Russell mad but he still had hope that he can beat the blonde dude but when the challenge begun he wasn’t able to do what he aimed for. He did not win over Matt leaving his pride scathed and his eyes in tears.
On the other side of the island, Boston Rob seemed to learned his lessons well. He is now eager to find the Immunity Idol and he did. How lucky could Boston Rob be plus he was also able to get rid off Cristina the only person in the tribe who is invincible of his charm. However, there is still a ghost who can hunt back Rob and that’s Matt who he betrayed and blindsided earlier in the game. There’s so many more things to watch out for in Survivor Redemption Island.
For the first time, we see emotions and tears in Russell’s eyes. He said he won’t be joining another season but this loss maybe served him lesson that in the game of Survivor, you cannot just rely on the hidden immunity because others are looking for it too.
For fans who are missing the Boston Rob vs Russell Hantz thingee in Survivor, don’t be too sad because these Survivor alumni are going to be back on air via Survivor Redemption Island. This is for sure going to be a lot exciting as if you are playing Internet slots, blackjack download, poker flash and for sure many fans are starting to pick their team now.
Are you Team Boston Rob or Team Russell?
Well, some are also concerned that these two might be the first ones out considering that they could be the biggest threat but despite this, Survivor host Jeff Probst believes that two will be able to use their skills to survive longer in the game.
Life is indeed like gambling, sometimes you win and hit the jackpot in slot machines but sometimes all you have to do is throw that cards and wait for your turn. But what about the luck for Rob and Russell? Will it be in Rob’s side this time around most especially that this will be his 4th try in Survivor or will it be victory for the 3rd try of Russell Hantz?
The feud of the two started in Survivor Heroes vs Villains wherein Russell managed to outwit Boston Rob but let’s see what will happen to them now in Survivor Redemption Island. This season will surely be an exciting one.
The First Survivor Hall of Fame award goes to none other than the queen Parvati Shallow. 50 percent of the vote came from the fans and the other half came from the blue-ribbon panel consisted of “Survivor” luminaries such as Host and Producer Jeff Probst, Challenge Producer John Kirhoffer, Executive Producer David Burris, Producer Jesse Jensen, members of the “Survivor” press corps, and XFINITY TV’s “Survivor” Guy Gordon Holmes.
Parvati’s name appeared in all of the nine ballots of the blue ribbon panel and she also garnered the most votes from the fans of Survivor. Whoa. Well, she’s undoubtedly the queen. However, fans are truly disappointed to hear her say that she’s not doing anymore “Survivor”. Well, maybe we can still hope a little besides she had said these words when she first finished her first season right? Then we saw her for two more seasons…so hopefully one more for Parvati until she gets back the title again.
Here’s what Parvati have to say for her award:
To be recognized as one of the best by the guys whose job is to make the game as difficult and challenging as possible is truly an honor. I loved playing “Survivor” and was never content to let anyone play for me. It’s cool that all the producers and press could see how hard I was working out there on the island. I guess I’m going to have to thank them and the rest of the contestants for never taking it easy on me so that I could rise to the challenge. All the bug bites, busted lips, severed fingers and starvation were worth it since all the fans watching at home were entertained enough to vote me into the Hall of Fame. Thanks everybody. I’m a very happy girl. Now where’s my trophy?

It could’ve been Russell and Boston Rob alliance for the title tandem to beat BUT Russell’s ego is too high to even think of forming an unbreakable alliance with Boston Rob. So, here is where the Parvati virus made an entrance. It is now King Russell protecting Parvati… Read the rest of this entry »
