Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown Finale

Survivor Philippines | Posted by survivormuch
Dec 03 2010

Warning: This post is full of bitterness. bwahaha.

Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown announced in the Final Encounter with the Jury that the Jury and the Final Four will be voting for the 7th member of the Jury. That was ONE BIG JOKE! Isang malaking kalokohan! The Jury is supposed to be voting for the winner not vote out another castaway. Why? Because it is very natural for the jury members to feel “bitter” “hurt” or whatever drama there is towards the remaining castaways who sealed their fates in the game. Therefore, no matter what the explanation is, the votes of the jury will be tainted. They were once voted out by the remaining castaways so now they have the chance to get back at them and vote out one of the remaining four. This is why Survivor designed the game wherein jury will just vote for the winner. The phase of voting out is already over once the castaway was voted off of the game, that simple. However, for some illogical reasons, Survivor Philippines came up with another twist in the game. Now, the Jury and the Final Four will vote out one of the Top 4 to be the 7th person in the jury. That twist, twisted the game in a very disappointing, annoying and illogical way.

Well, when we heard that twist, we think that’s the most disappointing twist EVER but hey Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown didn’t fail to disappoint us. They had so many disappointing twists prepared for us and now Richard Gutierrez announced that there will be a LIVE VOTING. Jury will vote for the winner LIVE after 3 months!!!! To say that this twist is disappointing is an understatement.

Now, after three months of watching this season  Survivor Finale, the Judgment Day arrived. Final Four Akihiro Sato, Aubrey Miles, Ervic Vijandre and Solenn Heussaff faced again the Jury but they had to know first who’s the 7th member of the Jury based from the voting procedure they did in their last day in the island.

Final Four

Total of 10 votes, 6 from the Jury and 4 from the remaining castaways. 9 votes has been read, 3 votes for Aubrey Miles, 2 for Ervic Vijandre, 2 for Solenn Heussaff and 2 for Akihiro Sato. Then Richard read the last vote and it was a vote against Akihiro. So there was a tie between Aki and Aubrey. Based on the VTR, the three votes for Aubrey came from Ahron, Elma and Akihiro while the three votes for Akihiro were from Aubrey, Ervic and Solenn (3 out of the Top 4). This is where we see that the twist of having the Jury vote out is definitely unfair. Okay. People now know for sure that Akihiro Sato is the First Celebrity Sole Survivor, I have nothing against him BUT don’t you think his victory became tainted because of the “twist” made by Survivor Philippines? If we will stick with the original rule of the game, Akihiro was actually not part of the Top 3. 3 out of 4 remaining castaways voted against him and with the “real” scenario in Survivor wherein remaining castaways are the ones voting out Akihiro Sato is OUT OF THE GAME. Sensible right? Why did Survivor allow the Jury to vote out? It is not their job. They are bitter and that’s the truth that is why they voted out Aubrey Miles, Solenn Heussaff and Ervic Vijandre while the “Mr.Nice Guy” who “didn’t” do anything wrong to them had no single vote from the jury.

Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown ended with Akihiro Sato the “Mr.Nice Guy” emerging as the winner. Yes he played the game well, he was the strongest in physical challenges, he made the Jury believed he is the nicest guy in the game. BUT without the freaking twist in the game. He is DEFINITELY NOT THE WINNER. Aubrey Miles said it right when she said “I feel like I deserve to win” because she is definitely the winner without that twist. That made me conclude that this season of Survivor Philippines is NOTHING BUT A TWIST a TWISTED SEASON OF SURVIVOR!!

Hopefully, we will see the real Survivor game, back next season.

“Be a MAN Aki” – Aubrey Miles

Survivor Philippines | Posted by survivormuch
Nov 25 2010

Aubrey Miles couldn’t be more right when she said “Be a MAN Aki” in last night Tribal Council.

Last night, the face off of the Final Four and the Jury started. Solenn Heussaff talked first. I believe Solenn got a very nice speech out there, you can really see that she prepared for that which is definitely great. She told everyone in the jury that no one in that stage can claim that he/she did nothing wrong in the game. She pointed out Michelle once came up to her with plan of getting Akihiro on their side to vote out Aubrey. Aira was telling everyone that she will vote out Michelle but she mentioned to her that it was Ervic as the real target. Mama Elma and her promised to protect each other since Magan but she voted her out and so is Mama Elma. Solenn also told Jon was once mocking Mama Elma in a challenge but it was just a game which in return she will say to Jon “it’s just a game”.  It was a solid argument for Solenn.

Ervic Vijandre on the other hand was a bit shaky in his argument. I think Ervic is very good in answering questions but I guess he didn’t organize much his thoughts that time so he was not able to make a very good speech.

Akihiro Sato was the biggest disappointment. He’s now an image of a person in a sinking ship who is so desperate to jump ship to be saved. He said “only if he listens to Jon” what was that? “Only if he listens to Jon”?, woah what is he thinking? Jon is definitely not bringing him to the top with him. Well yes it wouldn’t be fair to judge because we will not really know the answer because Jon was out long time ago. So when Akihiro said that, he was like kissing Jon’s ass off and the rest of the Jury.  He even mentioned that he’s only following his heart in the game and seeing Jon and Michelle love for each other was another great thing he witnessed in the island which made all of the persons in the jury cry. Woah I did not think Akihiro can be like a drama king.

Lastly, Aubrey Miles had her chance to talk and her speech was I believe the winner of them all.  She saw that the jury is showing sympathy to Akihiro so as a real fighter she come up with something to halt that affection. She started her speech with “I will tell all of you why I am here and I don’t think Akihiro has the right to said that he’s the only reason why I’m here”  bam that was a big slam right there for Akihiro. Everyone in the jury was like so sympathetic and all but here comes Aubrey reminding them of the Akihiro they all witnessed last Tribal Council. Very good move indeed. She also pointed out that she was a good team player, she followed Aira when they were in Sar Mayee. She got Jon in the team to give in to everyone’s request to vote Jon out. That was truly a good idea however she could have mentioned lot more like “Mama Elma I gave you my slot in one of the challenges when I gave you the sand bag that I found, Aira and Ahron did you know that I tried to act slowly in the puzzle to allow your tribe to fight a close fight. Michelle, just when you thought you were out of the game before the merge, still I chose to vote out my friend Trizsa.” haha that would be winning piece right there however, Aubrey is still playing the game with lots of dignity, she doesn’t like to mention those stuff just to appear saint in front of everyone unlike Aki. Lastly, Aubrey is definitely a PRO in Survivor when she decided to put a little pinch of drama in her final speech when she told the jury why she needs the money. Everything is just so perfect.

Akihiro Sato tagged as “Mr. Nice Guy” was definitely not acting like a real gentleman last night. When Mama Elma asked him if he voted her out because someone just dictated it to him or does it come from his heart. The “Mr.Nice Guy” said “no I did not want to vote you out, I just followed them, they decided to vote you out because you have greater chance of winning” and then Aubrey smirked. Why? Because based on what we saw Aubrey DID NOT tell Akihiro straightly to vote out Mama Elma. Aubrey just analyzed the situation for Aki. She mentioned that with Mama Elma, Akihiro has lesser chance of winning, she even asked him “do you want that?” and then she said that if Aki wants to win he should bring someone like her and Ervic in the Finals. Then end of conversation. We did not see nor hear something (based on what was shown in TV) that Aubrey telling Akihiro blatantly to vote out Mama Elma. He wrote Mama Elma’s name so why point his fingers to others. That was just unfair. Then, Ervic spoke to back up Aubrey, he said that the real thing that happened was Akihiro came up to him and said “me, you and Aubrey are solid” so I just said yes.

In this first part of Final Tribal Council Aubrey and Ervic are doing a great job to point out to everyone that Akihiro is not the “Mr. Nice Guy” everyone thought he is in the game. “Hindi nyo alam kung ano sinasabi ni Aki behind your back” said Aubrey.

Tonight, we will see more from the Jury and of course the Final Four. I am leaning towards the idea that after this tribal council, the jury will vote OUT one of the Final Four. I am just guessing right here, we’ll see later in Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown.

The Final Four

Survivor Philippines | Posted by survivormuch
Nov 22 2010

I will start this with another negative feedback Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown will have a Final Four who will face the jury…What the? Another twist with illogical reason. I mean why make it a Final Four?

Well I got over it easily because of the most amazing Tribal Council…ever this season and it has nothing to do with Richard Gutierrez. All props to the castaways for giving a very intense Tribal Council!

Akihiro was obviously upset with Ervic and Aubrey so no matter what Richard asked he was trying to point out that Ervic and Aubrey lied to him that they were plastic and they were selfish. And the worst of Akihiro’s words is when he said that he was the only one who brought Aubrey and Ervic in the finals. However, this was fully countered by Ervic, in basketball jargon SUPALPAL! Ervic shone brightest this moment, he said that he has the highest respect for Akihiro but hearing those words was very not gentleman-like for Akihiro. He said that he even asked Akihiro first if it was okay if he give it to Aubrey to which Aki replied “go ahead you’re the winner” which is true. And lastly, the winner of all his words “kung dalawa yang necklace na yan sa inyo ko ibibigay na dalawa (Aubrey and Ervic)” In the end, Moi voted for Akihiro while the rest voted for Moi that made her the last member of the jury. Well, the left Akihiro shocked and probably humiliated with the words he uttered and the way he reacted.

Now the Final Four

1. Ervic Vijandre

ervic vijandre

Ervic Vijandre

His words a while back to defend himself could actually make Ervic as the winner. He knows how to say the right words that will eventually give him the votes from the jury. However, there are still people in the jury who are mad at him. So we will see if Ervic Vijandre will be the First Celebrity Sole Survivor

2. Solenn Heussaff

Solenn Heussaff

Solenn Heussaff

Solenn is the silent type, she came from the first two losing tribes but when she reached to the merge she was able to find a secret alliance with Ervic and Aubrey. So this could give others the perception that she just had a coattail ride with these two. However, that could also work for her advantage, she was just under the radar so she didn’t appear so bad in the eyes of the jury. Will they give Solenn Heussaff the 3 Million pesos and the title Sole Survivor?

3. Akihiro Sato

Akihiro Sato

Akihiro Sato

Mr. Nice Guy, who is always strong in challenges, very good in the camp, lovable to everyone….NOT UNTIL he lost the last Immunity challenge wherein he broke down and let his emotions take over. He said things because he’s mad and usually you will get nowhere with that kind of strong emotion. Remember Justine Ferrer from last season was a sure winner in the eyes of everyone until she broke down in the Final days in the island that made the majority of the jury to vote against her. Will this happen to Akihiro Sato as well? Or could he regain his Mr. Nice Guy image and win the title of First Celebrity Sole Survivor?

4. Aubrey Miles

Aubrey Miles

Aubrey Miles

Undoubtedly the Queen Bee this season of Survivor. In fact, she’s the only who’s playing the game based on Survivor standards. Well, that is because she is a big fan of Survivor but Jon Hall was a fan too and he’s in the jury side now. Aubrey Miles basically was immune the whole time during the Merge. She kept the bracelet til the last day she can use it and the following Tribal Council which was the last this season, Ervic gave her Immunity necklace so that made her immune again. It’s like there’s no way she will be out of the game. However, if the castaways would like to vote her out that would be possible. Look what happened to Jon Hall again he had immunity bracelet but they were able to get rid of him, all orchestrated by Aubrey Miles. Game-wise she is the winner however many of the people in the jury may be bitter because they were voted out courtesy of Aubrey’s plan but we will see if Aubrey can give a winning speech in the Final encounter with the jury and eventually win her the title First Celebrity Sole Survivor.

Hopefully the jury will vote based on the game and not the person. Hopefully they will consider the mantra of the game Outwit, Outplay, Outlast and not just vote who is the best “role model” to the viewers because Survivor is not about this. This is actually the difference of Survivor from different reality game so please come up with right reason because this season has been a whole circus with all those twists so hopefully they will not say at the end, here’s our Sole Survivor because he/she showed the right example for the viewers. Please lang.

Who’s your bet now Survivor fans?

Top Five of Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown

Tribal Council once again. Moi found the Immunity bracelet so it leaves Mama Elma in the oust considering the tight alliance going on in the Galone tribe. Viewers were not wrong, since Moi have an idol it was Elma Muros who became the Fifth person in Jury of Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown.

Elma Survivor

This is the last time that Survivor castaways can use their Immunity bracelet. Moi definitely use it for herself but Aubrey Miles who has kept her Immunity bracelet for long time disappointingly used it for herself. I was like “is that it?” Read the rest of this entry »

Ikaw na nga Michelle

Survivor Philippines | Posted by survivormuch
Nov 05 2010

After three weeks of Michelle’s whining and claiming that she’s the next one to go…FINALLY she gets what she asked for. Michelle Madrigal is the 10th person voted off of Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown!

Michelle Madrigal

Honestly her “paawa effect” and “sarcastic” tactic would’ve worked out if she didn’t stress it too much. Aubrey was right “habang tumatagal it’s getting annoying na”. She could’ve acted like that but do some actions too. She was all parinig of “all girls alliance” but she was never persistent to survive. Read the rest of this entry »

Pity is for the Losers

Survivor Philippines | Posted by survivormuch
Oct 29 2010

Survivor has no room for pity. Look what happened to Aira, she wanted to save Michelle and was very vocal that she deserves the chance well what now, Michelle got the chance but not the one who felt pity, which is Aira.

Another tribal council once again. I am personally excited to see who will be voted out but watching and hearing Richard’s questions really irritates me. Here are examples of his annoying questions: Read the rest of this entry »
